Navigating Your Public Resources

Every learner has access to the Public Resources. This can be a powerful tool for you to receive and share knowledge with other members of your Academy.

In the left navigation, make sure you are in the Learner Workspace. 

When in the Learner Workspace, select Resources. Here you can find the Academy Resources you have access to.

 

When accessing your Public Resources, you can see one or more of the following blocks:

Promoted: Content promoted by your Academy.

Recently Viewed: Recently viewed resources

Most Popular: The most popular resources in your academy.

Below that, all content in the resources is visible.

Under the All Content page, you will be able to see all the content items that are available to you.

Which Content Items can I see?

In general, the set of content items that is available for you on this page is defined by the Sections and Categories that you have access to. Your Resources has a non-editable category called Shared Content and may have multiple other editable categories. You can see these categories under the Filter option.

Based on your role and permissions, and how each category is set up, you may be able to see, add and manage the content items in different categories.  

The content resources categories can only be defined by an Admin or a Content Manager. Read more: Managing my Resources Categories  

How can I find the Resource I want?

To find the content item you want, you can filter the content items by selecting a specific section or category from the left side of the page.

Moreover, you can use the search bar and/or filters to further define your selection and find the content items you want. The search engines in this section will not only search through the titles and metadata of relevant resources but also the text and information within them. This means when you search for a term, results will show any content that includes that word or phrase, with content with a higher usage of the terms appearing higher.

How can I edit a Content Item?

Based on your role and permissions, and how each category is set up, you may be able to edit the content items in different categories.

Select the Edit button in the top-right.

If you just want to change the category or delete content, you can select the training and select Change Categories or Delete in the top-right.

Otherwise, click View Details and scroll down to Edit Resource.

Here you can change the name, description, language, expiration date, and category for this specific resource.

How can I add a Content Item?

Based on your role and permissions, and how each category is set up, you may be able to add content items to different categories. If you have permission to add content, you will be able to see the Add option on the top of the page, giving you the option to add a file or online resource.
