Understanding How Users Are Enrolled

Schoox provides you with a powerful reporting tool within your academy, giving you the ability to track academy members' progress in a number of ways. To get to the Report Builder, navigate to the Team Workspace and select Reporting -> Report Builder in the left navigation bar.

Through the Report Builder tool, you can find out how a user was enrolled in a course by selecting the Courses All Time Report. Click on the Choose Field dropdown list and hit the field Course Enrollment Source.

If you want to filter the results based on a specific enrollment source, you can do so by clicking on the gear icon next to the field.

In the following list, you may see a short description for each one of these values:

  1. Self-enrollment → The user self-enrolled themselves for this course

  2. Reactivated User → The user got reactivated, which re-enrolled them in the course

  3. Assigned by Manager → An admin, manager or team member with assignment permissions assigned the user to the course

  4. Assigned by Rule → An automated rule assigned the user to this course

  5. Onboarding Process → The user got assigned through an Onboarding Profile

  6. Imported Data → The user got assigned through an import or transcript

  7. Purchase Course Coupon → The user used a coupon for a course to get enrolled to it

  8. Purchase Course Coupon Assignment → The user got assigned to the course due to coupon assignment

  9. Purchase Course via Bundle → The user got assigned to the course because it was a part of a purchased bundle

  10. Course via Package → The user got assigned to the course from an academy subscription to a package

  11. Assigned via Learning Path → The user got assigned to the course because it was a part of a learning path they got assigned to

  12. Self-enrollment via Learning Path → The user got assigned to the course because it was a part of Learning Path that they enrolled themselves in

  13. Assigned via Learning Path by Rule → The user got assigned to the course because it was a part of a Learning Path that was assigned via an automated rule

In this report, there are also some other fields that may help you to find some more details for your users. In the case of the "Assigned by Manager" value, add the field of the Assignor First Name and the Assignor Last Name so you can find out the manager who assigned the Course in question.

In the case of the "Assigned by Rule" value, as you can see in the previous screenshot, add the field of Auto Assignment Rule, so you can find out the relevant rule.

In case of a "Purchase Course Coupon" value add the field of the Coupon ID so you can find the specific coupon that the user used to be enrolled to the Course.

In case of a "Purchase Course Coupon Assignment" value, add the Course Coupon Code field so you can see the coupon of the purchased Course.
