Preferred Language Versus UI Language

Schoox allows you to customize the language settings in two areas: UI Language and Preferred Language. These settings help personalize your experience and ensure you engage with the platform in your preferred language.

UI Language

The UI Language setting controls the overall language of the platform's user interface. This includes:

  • Headers

  • Drop-down menus

  • Buttons

  • Other functional elements

  • Email notifications sent by the academy

Note: Changing the UI Language does not affect the language in which a course is displayed.

Setting Your UI Language

To set your UI Language:

  1. Open the drop-down menu in the top navigation bar.

  2. Select your desired language from the list.

Preferred Language

The Preferred Language setting specifies the language in which courses and certain resources are assigned to you. This setting impacts:

  • Courses offered in multiple languages

  • Items shown under Resources

  • Progress tracking for multi-language Learning Paths

Important:

  • Completed multi-language Learning Paths will remain marked as completed, even if you change your preferred language.

  • Progress for any unfinished multi-language curricula will reset when you change your preferred language.

Setting Your Preferred Language

  1. Go to My Profile.

  2. Adjust the Preferred Language setting as needed.

How Changing Your Preferred Language Affects the UI Language

When you update your preferred language in your profile, the system automatically checks if this language is also available in the UI language list.

  • If your selected preferred language is available in the UI drop-down menu, your UI language will be updated automatically to match your new preference.
  • If your selected preferred language is not available, your UI language will remain unchanged.

Please note that this automatic update happens only from the preferred language to the UI language. Changing the UI language afterward will not automatically update your preferred language setting.
