Under the About page of your course or learning path, you may have noticed that there is a Download this QR code link.
Selecting this link initiates a download of a PDF with the QR code for this training material. Scanning the QR code will lead to a course or learning path card URL.
Course QR code
To locate this QR code link for your courses, follow the steps below.
In the left navigation, make sure you are in the Academy Workspace.
When in the Academy Workspace, select Training Admin. Then, choose Manage Training and select Courses.
From the Course panel on the right-hand side, select Preview, and then choose Preview details page.
On the Preview details (About) page, scroll to the bottom to locate the Download this QR code link.
Learning path QR code
To locate the QR code link for your learning paths, follow the steps below.
In the left navigation, make sure you are in the Academy Workspace.
When in the Academy Workspace, select Training Admin for all Training Administration options.
Select Manage Training and then select Learning Paths.
From the Learning Path panel on the right-hand side, select Edit Learning Path, and then choose Preview learning path.
On the Preview learning path (About) page, scroll to the bottom to locate the Download this QR code link.
QR Code Access Requirements
QR codes link directly to the Learner Workspace. Access to a course via QR code is determined by the user’s permissions and the course’s visibility settings:
- Private Courses: Users must be assigned to the course to access it via the QR code.
- Public Courses: Users can access the course via QR code as long as it is available to them in the Learner Workspace. A course is considered available when the user meets at least one of the following conditions: they are enrolled in the course, assigned to it, invited to it, or have visibility through training category permissions.
If a course is private and not assigned, or if the user does not have permission to view the associated training category, the QR code will not provide access.
Additionally, if a course is not mobile-compatible, scanning a QR code intended to open it in the mobile app may not successfully display the course.
