You have the option to create coupons for the priced courses of your academy, provide them to selected employees and allow them to enroll themselves for free or at a discounted price.
Setting the Price
The price of the course itself needs to determined before creating a coupon for it.
Navigate to the appropriate course. Select the Training Admin Workspace. Under Manage Training on the left, select Courses. Then select the course from the list.
Under Sales on the right select Edit Price.
There are two options from which to choose — based on a one-time license or a subscription.
License Based
Set your per license price, and optionally set up tier pricing for buying licenses in bulk. Add as many tiers as needed. Save when finished.
Subscription Based
Alternatively, set up subscription parameters if you'd rather charge per license for a given amount of time. Save when finished.
Creating a Coupon
After saving the price, you will then see additional options under Sales. Select Coupons.
You can start filling in all of the necessary information for your coupon such as:
- Coupon price
- Valid until: the date until which users will be able to redeem your coupon. This is an optional field.
- Select your recipients: You have the option to select either specific individuals or academies or to create a public coupon.
- Add the maximum quota
- Add a custom coupon code, if you want to. Otherwise, a unique coupon code will be automatically created.
Click on the Create Coupon button when finished.
Review the coupon history at the bottom of the page to check how many users have redeemed the coupon code that you created and which is the status of your coupon (e.g. Active, Cancelled, Completed, etc.)
To manage your coupons efficiently, you can sort them by clicking on the relevant column name, search by Coupon Code or Coupon Recipient, filter by coupon state, or download a spreadsheet that includes all your coupons for the specific course. You can also check the coupons by their creator.
Edit Coupon
If you select to create a public coupon, you will also have the option to add a purchaser or update the Max Quota of the coupon, after you created it. To do so, click on the "Edit" icon, that is displayed for the public coupons.
On the next page, just add the needed information and click update.
You have successfully updated your public coupon!
Please note: If a course's pricing plan gets updated, then all coupons that were issued with the existing course pricing plan (Licensed or Subscription-based) will be canceled. Users who have enrolled in the course with the coupon will still be able to access the course. However, those who have not enrolled in the course will not be able to do so and a new coupon will need to be issued.
