Helping Your Users Get Started In Your Academy

The following step-by-step instruction can be used as a template in order to help the new users navigate their way around your academy.

Feel free to use it, adjust it as needed, and share it with the new members of your academy!

Hi Everyone!

We are excited to announce the launch of our YOUR ACADEMY NAME in Schoox.

Among the many features available in Schoox, you will find:

  • Easy, straightforward course navigation
  • Real-time tracking of time and completion
  • Easily accessible content/resource library
  • Free native mobile app
  • Accomplishment badges

1. Logging into the Academy in Schoox

When you are added to the Academy, you will receive an email notification with login instructions.  The email will come from no-reply@schoox.com with the subject “XXXX has added you to YOUR ACADEMY NAME”.  If you do not see the email in your inbox, please check your Bulk or Spam folder to ensure that it did not get filtered out (and add Schoox to your whitelisted emails).

You can click “Login Now” from this notification to login to the Academy.

You can also log in at any time by going to – https://www.schoox.com/login.php

Once you log in, you will be asked to change your password from the temporary password provided to a password of your choosing. Type in your Temporary Password into the first field, then type in your new password into the second and third fields and click “Change”. 

Please note that your new password should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum length: 8 characters
  • Maximum length: 64 characters
  • At least one uppercase character
  • At least one lowercase character
  • Not more than three identical characters in a row (e.g., aaa or 111)
  • Name as part of the password is not permitted
  • Login as password is not permitted 
  • Password cannot match academy names

After changing your password, you will be taken to the Homepage. At the top of the Homepage, you will see a box requesting that you confirm your email address. You must confirm your email address in order to receive notifications from the system.

To do this, click the blue “Send Confirmation” button.  You will then receive an email asking you to confirm your address.  In the email, click the “Confirm Now” link.

You will then see a message confirming that your email has been verified and you have been fully registered.  Click the “here” hyperlink from this pop-up to be taken back to the Homepage.

2. Accessing Your Training

To access all of the courses that you are enrolled in:

In the left navigation, make sure you are in the Learner Workspace. 

When you are in the Learner Workspace, click on Training and then select My Training. 

Alternatively, If you would like to browse elective courses, choose Catalog.

To begin the course, just click the name of the course.

The course material is presented as a series of steps. Sometimes finishing each step in the order presented is mandatory to complete the course, while other times it's not. To view a step, just click its name. 

The time you spend in a course and completion status are tracked in real-time.  Once you have viewed all of the material in the step, just close the window and that step will appear in green as Completed

Then you can move on to the next step.

3. Accessing the Content Library and Your Profile

You can also find non-course resources in the academy’s Content Library.  Just click Resources on the left navigation and you can find additional documents, videos, etc. that may or may not be associated with courses. Library content is categorized, and every category may not be available to everyone.

You can also view and edit your Schoox profile information at any time, on the top navigation bar, click on your Avatar and select Profile.  Here you can add a profile image, enter more information about yourself and your work experience, view any certificates that you have earned, view your badges and accomplishments, and more.
