Uploading External Certificates

Credit Types must first be set up in your academy. See this article for more information. If you are unable to upload external certificates, please contact your academy administrator.

You have the option to upload your certificates you've earned outside of Schoox.

In the left navigation, make sure you are in the Learner Workspace.

When in the Learner Workspace, select ePortfolio

To upload your certificate, navigate to the Certificates tab and select the Plus (+) button.

There are six steps you need to follow to upload your Certificate.

  1. Enter a Certificate title
Provide a brief and descriptive title for the certificate.

  2. Select the Credit type
Choose the type of credits you wish to receive for this certificate.

  3. Specify the Number of credits
Enter the number of credits associated with this training.

  4. Add the Date
Indicate the date on which the certificate was earned.

  5. Upload the Certificate File
Click Upload, locate the certificate file on your device, and attach it.

  6. Save Your Changes
Select Save to finalize and submit your certificate.

Once you complete the process, this request will be listed as Pending in your portfolio, as it will need to be reviewed and approved by your academy admin.

Once your request has been reviewed and approved, the awarded credits will be displayed, and the certificate will become available for download in your ePortfolio by selecting the View Certificate option.

External certificates can be viewed under the Certificates tab by adjusting the Certification type and the Status filter to show Active certificates.

Please note that once credits have been approved, the submission cannot be modified.

At this time, admins and managers do not have the option to directly add external credits and certificates to users’ profiles. However, using the backdoor login can serve as a helpful alternative, allowing you to perform this on the user’s behalf when needed.
