Syncing Your Schoox Calendar with Your External Calendars (Google, Outlook, etc)

The Sync Calendar option helps you meet deadlines by syncing your Schoox Calendar to your Google Calendar, Outlook, or any other calendar you may use.

First, you want to access your Calendar.

In the left navigation, make sure you are in the Learner Workspace.

When in the Learner Workspace, select Training and then Calendar

When you are on the calendar page, click on the Gear Icon on top of the calendar.

In the pop up window, the Calendar Settings are separated into two parts — Calendar Preferences and Calendar Sync.

Calendar preferences simply allows you to determine your calendar's first day of the week, and if it displays weekends.

Calendar sync: The entire sync setup happens within your personal settings. That option will take you there. (Avatar > Settings > Integrations)

There you can select the calendar elements you'd like to sync from the drop-down menu, and connect the two calendars. You have the option to sync several entities such as Virtual Events, In-Class Trainings, Due Dates, Expiration Dates, etc.

You will then also be able to associate it with a specific calendar if you've subscribed to more than one.

Google and Outlook calendars are officially supported by the integration.

Apple calendar, unfortunately, is not available currently. However, the Other external calendar provider option is available, and should work for most other calendar services.

In this case, you should first select the items that you want to sync and then click on the Copy button.

To sync your Schoox Calendar with your Apple Calendar:

  1. Open Apple Calendar
  2. Select File
  3. Select New Calendar Subscription
  4. Paste the link you previously copied from Schoox in the Calendar URL field
  5. Select Subscribe
  6. Edit the Calendar's options. We recommend setting auto-refresh to Every five minutes
  7. Once you're done, select OK.

Notes:

  • When you enable the calendar sync option, Schoox initiates the sync process, allowing for real-time updates to your Google and Outlook calendars.
  • If you choose to disconnect your integration with your personal calendar by selecting the Disconnect button, only upcoming events will be removed. Past events will remain unless you manually remove them from the list before disconnecting.

  • Several notifications are adjusted to make adding events to calendars easier for participants.
  • If you prefer not to sync certain types of items (e.g., Registered to Virtual event), but would like to add a specific event to your calendar, you can do so directly from the relevant event notification by selecting your preferred calendar option.

Selecting one of the calendar options will take you into your academy, and automatically add the event to your calendar. If you have yet to connect that calendar, you will first be asked to do so.
