Polls are a great tool to take a look at the opinions of your team members on specific aspects of the learning process or on the academy in general.
Where to find Polls
In the left navigation, make sure you are in the Academy Workspace.
When in the Academy Workspace, select Training Admin for all Training Administration options.
Select Polls and then select Course Polls.
If you are looking for the Standalone Polls or Learning Path polls, select these options instead.
Under the Training Admin, you can also add polls to an event.
When in the Academy Workspace, select Training Admin for all Training Administration options.
Select Manage Training and then select In-Class Events.
If you are looking for the Virtual Events instead, select that option. This will give you a list of the events. Select the event you are looking for, and select Manage Polls on the right.
Available Options
When you have selected the kind of polls you want to manage, you are able to edit, preview, and delete polls by opening up the Manage option. You can also click the Public toggle under “Status” to make the poll visible or invisible.
For non-event polls (standalone, course, learning path), you have the option to upload an image.
For Event Polls within multiple-offer events, you also have the option to copy the poll that is associated with the main event to one of the additional event offers. To do so, select the multiple offer(s) that you wish to copy the poll into, and then click Copy. The poll will be copied to the multiple offer(s) you selected!
Last but not least, from this page, you have the option to make your Private Standalone Polls available only to specific Employees.
To do so, just find the Poll in question and click on the Assign option. You will be given the option to assign the poll either to specific employees (Individual Assignment) or to a group of employees based on their job and location (Advanced Assignment).
Note: There isn't a way to disable the default notification that says 'You have been assigned a Poll.
Changing a Poll Expiration Date
The expiration date is used to ensure that no user will complete this poll after this date. This means the expiration date is not editable after it has passed.
If the expiration date has not passed yet, you can edit it when the poll is added to a pool. After adding the poll to a pool, this option is under Edit Poll, then select Poll Pools, and edit the poll from there.
How to View Results
Under the same place, you can also view the results of your polls or export them. You have three options available:
Poll Results
Under Poll Results, you will be able to have a quick review of the responses that your employees have given. Here you can also filter by organizational structure to check the answers of a specific org node or filter by dates to check the answers within a specific timeframe.
Closed-Ended Questions
Under Closed-Ended Questions, you can review the results of the closed-ended questions of the poll as a bar chart in PDF format that you can download for future reference.
Open-Ended Questions
Once you click on the Open-Ended Questions option, an excel/ .csv file will be downloaded, containing all of the answers per open-ended question.
