Your Academy Resources are a place to store and share information. This information can be viewed on its own or added to training. You can find the Resources both in the Learner Workspace and in the Team Workspace.
Learner Workspace
The Resources tab in the Learner Workspace is focused on viewing content for learners. The following options are available:
- Accessible by everyone, no matter their role
- Can view content in categories you have view permissions to
- Can add content to categories you have write permissions to
Team Workspace
The Resources tab in the Team Workspace is focused on managing content. The following options are available
- Only accessible by those with permissions
- Can view content in categories you have view permissions to
- Can add content to categories you have write permissions to
- Can add and edit categories, as well as their permissions, if your role allows
Permissions
Role Permissions
If you are an admin or your role had the Store Content in Shared Content Category of Resources (Mandatory for Content Manager, optional for Training Manager), you can add content under Shared Content. For other categories, you need write permissions.
If you are an Admin or your role has Manage Resource Categories turned on, you can add, edit, and change the permissions for categories.
Category Permissions
If your role has Read permissions for a category, you can view content shared in this category. If your role has Write permissions for a category, you can add content to this category. Read permissions are mandatory to add Write permissions.
