In the Social Workspace, you can set up Activity Rings to motivate your learners! Activity rings are three connected rings, touching upon development, training, and engagement. Learners can earn points towards the activity rings by completing the activities you set up, with the goal to fill out all three rings each week.
Enabling Activity Rings
In the left navigation, make sure you are in the Social Workspace.
When in the Social Workspace, select Settings.
Open the Gamification drop-down and turn on the toggle to enable this feature.
Setting Up Activity Rings
When in the Social Workspace, select Game Center -> Activity Rings.
This leads you to the Activity Rings main screen. To start setting up activity rings, select Set up activity rings.
The first step is to decide on what your activity rings will look like. You can pick the colors for each ring and see what this looks like. Click Next to continue.
Then we decide which activities earn points. You can delete an activity by clicking the trash can, and edit them by clicking the pencil. You can also add a new activity by clicking Add Activity.
Activities that are counted by time or the amount of pages have the option to set the minimum and maximum amount of points. For example, Complete a Document lecture gives points per page read - but if you have a fifty page document, you might not want to skew the results too much by giving this fifty points, and feel that Document lectures of one page are worth two points minimum.
Activities that are about specific training can be narrowed down to only earn points for selected courses, or all courses in a selected category. Just select Advanced Options and make your selection.
Activities are associated with specific rings; with which ring they are associated is fixed and cannot be changed.

Scroll down to set how many points are needed to close the activity ring. When happy with your activities and point totals, select Next.
On the next step, we select who is competing. This can be either everyone in the Academy, or a selection based on jobs and (above) units. Select Next after making your selection.
On step four, you see which badges can be earned with the activity rings. These badges cannot be changed. Select Next to continue.
Now it's time to decide if you want to activate the activity rings now, or save the settings as a draft to take a second look at later before publishing. Select Next when ready.
Double check your details and click Activate when ready.
Editing or Deactivating Activity Rings
If you have your activity rings set up, but want to edit them or pause them for the time being, head to your Activity Rings and select Edit to go through the set-up again, or Save as Draft to pause the activity rings.
Note that when activity rings are saved as draft, learners and managers can still see the prior progress made. To know whether they are currently in activated or draft mode, look for the Draft wording. Click the three dots again to reactivate them.
