To use the Copy to Category button in the Resources, users must meet all of the following permission requirements:

  1. Write permission on the source category
The user must have Write permission for the category where the original item currently resides.
  2. Write permission on the destination category
The user must also have Write permission for the category to which they want to copy the item.
  3. The academy setting “Users with write permissions in a folder can also manage content in those” must be enabled.

When this setting is active, users with Write permission in a category are also granted the ability to manage its content.

Important Note:

To have Write permission in a sub-category, users must also have Write permission in the main (parent) category. Without write access to the main category, access to the sub-category alone is not sufficient.
