Why Do Some Supervisors See a Discrepancy in Their Compliance Dashboard Views?

Scenario

A supervisor reports seeing different data when navigating to the following pages:

  1. Team Workspace > My Team Dashboard > Compliance > Employees

  2. Team Workspace > My Team Dashboard > Compliance > Training

  • On the Employees page, the Compliance Score view appears empty.

  • On the Training page, the Compliance Score data is displayed as expected.

Explanation

This behavior may be related to the academy setting: “Show all courses and learning paths”

You can access this setting by navigating to Academy Workspace > Academy Admin > Settings > Control Panel > Reporting visibility rules.

When this setting is disabled, visibility of general compliance statistics is limited to users with specific roles or permissions.

Only the following users will be able to view populated compliance data in both pages:

  • Admins

  • Training Managers

  • HR Managers

  • Users who have been granted the “Assess Members' Skills” permission

If a supervisor does not hold one of these roles or permissions and the setting “Show all courses and learning paths” is disabled, then:

  • It is expected that the Compliance > Employees page will not display data.

  • They may still see data under Compliance > Training, which presents information specific to overall training progress rather than individual employee compliance scores.

Recommendation

If a broader view of compliance data is required for more users:

  • Consider enabling the “Show all courses and learning paths” setting in your academy.

  • Alternatively, assign the relevant role or permission (such as Assess Members' Skills) to the supervisor.
