The Workspace Editor allows you to customize the navigational structure of your academy by rearranging, renaming and merging workspaces.
Accessing the Workspace Editor
To access the Workspace Editor:
1. Go to Academy Admin.
In the left navigation, make sure you are in the Academy Workspace.
2. Navigate to Configuration > General.
When in the Academy Workspace, select Academy Admin for all Academy Administration options.
Select Configuration and then General.
3. Locate the Workspace Editor option.
Customizing Workspaces
Within the Workspace Editor, you can:
Rearrange Workspaces: Simply drag and drop each workspace to your desired position.
Merge Workspaces: Combine multiple workspaces under a single one to streamline navigation.
Before merging workspaces, you have the option to rename the new, combined workspace and select an icon that best represents its purpose.
After configuring the workspace as needed, be sure to click Merge to apply your changes and then Save changes.
Mobile App Workspace Behavior
The Workspace Editor feature is currently not available in the mobile app.
The mobile experience includes only three fixed workspaces (Learner, Social, and Team), which removes the need for workspace merging at this time. As a result, workspace merge settings configured in the web app do not apply to the mobile app navigation.
Users who have merged workspaces on the web should expect the mobile app to continue displaying the default workspace structure.
Unmerging Workspaces
If you wish to unmerge workspaces:
Return to the Workspace Editor.
Uncheck the checkbox next to the relevant workspace(s).
Click Merge again.
Don’t forget to Save Changes to finalize the update.
