Overview
As you manage your academy, you may occasionally want a clear overview of your learning paths to ensure they are structured exactly as you expect. One common scenario is checking whether any learning paths exist without courses assigned to them. For example, you might notice a specific learning path and want to confirm whether it contains any courses.
This article explains the current platform behavior and outlines how you can review and manage learning paths that do not yet have courses.
What You May Notice
You may come across a learning path that currently has no courses attached. This can happen for a variety of perfectly normal reasons, such as:
- A learning path that is still being designed
- A learning path created in advance for future content
- Courses that were intentionally removed as part of a reorganization
At the moment, the platform does not include a built-in report that automatically lists all learning paths within an academy that do not have courses assigned.
How to Approach This Today
Although there isn’t a dedicated report for this view, you can still review learning paths directly within the academy by navigating to Training Admin > Manage Training > Learning Paths. From there, you can easily confirm whether courses are assigned. This approach is helpful when you want to review the structure of specific learning paths or perform a focused check.
Recommended Best Practices
- Periodically review your learning paths to ensure they align with your content goals.
- Use clear naming conventions or internal documentation to indicate learning paths that are intentionally empty or still in progress.
- Review learning paths after content updates or reorganizations to maintain clarity.
Summary
Learning paths without courses are a natural part of content planning and organization. While there is no built-in report that highlights these learning paths automatically, reviewing them directly within the academy allows you to stay informed and in control of your academy’s structure.
