SCORM modules are special self-contained training elements that can be uploaded as other training material is into your academy. Being self-contained, SCORM modules will provide their own navigation and sometimes their own button to close out of the module.
SCORM communicates progress after the module has been closed correctly; it does not constantly communicate with the academy as you are progressing through the material. Therefore, closing the module correctly could be the difference between completing your training and having to take it again.
In a course, SCORM modules exist alongside other lectures in the right side menu. Selecting it will bring the SCORM module either within the main window or in a separate window, depending on how the SCORM module was originally configured.
Either way, the module will need to be closed in order to communicate with your academy any progress that was made.
