Custom fields can be added to courses, learning paths, and events.
Your HRIS, for example, may have additional fields you want to mirror in your academy, or or you may simply want additional fields for organizational purposes.
To add custom fields to courses, learning paths, and events, navigate to the Academy Workspace, then Settings. In the Training filter, they will be found under Custom fields.
Selecting the option will reveal its three sections — Events, Courses, and Learning Paths. Select the appropriate section, and then Add field.
After naming the field, there are various types of fields to best suite your needs, all reflecting how the user will interact with them — Text, Number, Date, Datetime, and Dropdown.
Text — The user can enter text into the field provided.
Number — The user can enter a number into the field provided.
Date — The user can select a date from using the tool provided.
Datetime —The user can select a date and time using the tool provided.
Dropdown — The user will need to choose from choice within a dropdown menu. After selecting this type, you will then be able to add as many options as you'd like.
The fields will then be available in each course, learning path, or event, when creating or editing the item.
