Courses, events, exams, on-the-job trainings (OJTs), and polls each support a representative image so learners can recognize the item at a glance. Courses and events also support a separate banner image, shown larger on the item’s own page.
Finding the Upload Option
Open the item you want to add an image to (a course, an event, an exam, an OJT, or a poll) and go to its settings or edit page. Courses and events show two image controls — Thumbnail and Banner — while exams, OJTs, and polls show a single Thumbnail control.
Uploading an Image
Select Upload image to open the dropdown, then choose one of two options:
- Select Add from device to upload a new image file directly from your computer, using the same upload tool found throughout the academy.
- Select Add from resources to open a modal showing images already available in your academy’s resources. Only jpg, jpeg, and png files appear, sorted from newest to oldest, and only images from categories you have read access to are shown. You can select only one image at a time.
Once selected, a preview of the uploaded image appears in place of the control. If no image has been uploaded, the item’s default image is shown instead.
Removing an Image
Select Remove image to delete the current image and revert to the default image; you’ll be asked to confirm before it’s removed. This option is greyed out while the default image is showing, since there is nothing to remove yet.
Uploading a Separate Banner (Courses and Events)
For courses and events, the Banner control works the same way as the Thumbnail control described above (Add from device, Add from resources, Remove image, preview) but is entirely independent — uploading, removing, or previewing a banner never affects the thumbnail, and vice versa.
