Schoox's mobile app lets you download certain lectures so you can keep learning when you don't have an internet connection. Once a lecture is downloaded, you can open and complete it offline, and your progress syncs back automatically the next time you're online.
Prerequisites
- The Schoox mobile app, installed on your device.
- You must be enrolled in or assigned the course or Learning Path containing the lecture you want to download.
Downloading a Lecture for Offline Use
1. Open My Training
In the mobile app's left navigation, make sure you are in the Learner Workspace, then select Training > My Training.
2. Find the Lecture
Open the course or Learning Path that contains the lecture you want to view offline.
3. Download the Lecture
Select the lecture's download option. The lecture begins downloading to your device, and a progress indicator shows when it's ready to view offline.
4. View It Offline
Once downloaded, open the lecture the same way you normally would. You can view it even without a Wi-Fi or data connection.
What to Expect While Offline
A few limitations apply to offline downloads:
- Only Lectures can be downloaded for offline use — Exams, Polls, On-the-Job Training, and Events are not available offline.
- Only lectures whose files were originally uploaded to Schoox (such as documents, images, or videos) can be downloaded — lectures that are simply links to other sites cannot.
- SCORM lectures are not available for offline download by default; your Academy needs to contact Schoox to enable this specifically.
Syncing Your Progress
When you reconnect to Wi-Fi or mobile data, your progress on any lecture you completed offline syncs automatically. If you'd rather sync right away, you can also do so manually from your device settings using the Sync Unsubmitted Progress option, or by logging out and back in.
