Release date 14 October
With this release, Report Builder reports can now be exported as a PDF, not just a CSV. A PDF export is a finished, presentation-ready document rather than an editable spreadsheet — useful any time a report needs to stand on its own as a polished, shareable file, or as a record that is not as easy to alter as a spreadsheet.
Why It Matters
A branded, formatted PDF is suited to compliance and record-keeping, and is not as easy to alter after the fact as a CSV spreadsheet. It also travels well: a PDF is ready to share with stakeholders as-is, with no reformatting needed. None of this changes how reporting already works today — CSV stays the default, so nothing about an existing workflow changes unless a manager chooses PDF for a specific report.
Choosing a File Type for Your Reports
The Report Options panel now includes a File type dropdown with two choices: CSV and PDF. CSV remains the default, so every existing report keeps working exactly as it does today until a manager deliberately switches it to PDF. Whichever format is selected is remembered with the report, used whenever the report is generated or delivered on a schedule, and carried over if the report is copied.
The reports list also shows each report's File type in its own column, and the per-report menu offers one-off Download as CSV and Download as PDF options that do not change what format of the report. Scheduled reports will appear in this listed format.
What a PDF Export Looks Like
A PDF export opens with a cover page showing the academy's logo (if one is set), the report title, and key details — academy name, export date and time zone, and the org-structure scope covered. The data itself follows as a table, identical to what the CSV export contains. A report with no results for its filters still produces a PDF, with a clear message that no data is available. PDF exports render in the report's own language, including right-to-left layout for Hebrew, Arabic, and Urdu.
