Giving Credit for External Training

To keep track of training that takes place outside Schoox, you can create credits and set them as "uploadable". The users of your academy can then claim that they have acquired certain credits outside Schoox and provide proof of certification.

Setting Up Credits

To set up your credits, you will need to first create Credit Types and then connect these types to your Credit Rules. You can read more on the process here: Using Credits in Your Academy

Make sure to set your Credit Type as Uploadable if you want the users to upload their external certificates.

What the End-user Sees

Employees and trainees can claim that they have acquired certain credits (from the existing academy credit types) from external training in their personal portfolio. To do so, they need to navigate to the Credits tab under their personal ePortfolio

Credits can be found in the Learners workspace, within the user's ePortfolio.

The process is quite simple and requires the user to:

1. Add the number of credits, by selecting the type of credit from the dropdown list

2. Insert the number of credits in the "Credits" field.

3. Insert the date of certification or training.

4. Provide the name of the training

5. Upload a document of certification by selecting the "Upload" button. (optionally).

6. Save
