Performance Review Profile Enablement Improvements

Release Date 22 January

Profile Creation Updates

Previously when a performance review profile is launched, there is no indication for the admin as to if any cycles will be automatically generated. Moreover, when the process of generating the cycles runs, there is no notification in the system to alert admins if the process has succeeded or failed.

The lack of these two creates uncertainty and confusion for the Admins, as they are not sure of when their employees' reviews are going to launch and if they process was successful.

This update adds points of communications to clarify the process.

  • The button at the bottom of the page will now read either Save or Launch Review, depending on the timeframe selected — future or present, respectively.
  • A Process Started pop-up will appear when a profile is launched and cycles are being generated.
  • An information icon will inform the profile creator when the profile's next cycle will be launched.
  • A notification will be sent to the profile creator to inform them that the profile was launched, and whether or not it was successful.
  • The profile creation page button will now reflect whether or not the cycles will be launched.

Additionally, the review cycles will be immediately started, rather than wait for the next cron job.

Column Additions

Two new columns have also been added to the Performance Profile list — Type and Next Cycle.

  • In the case of Anniversary reviews, the cycle is determined by the hire date, and thus will not appear.
  • A profile must be launched in order for the next cycle to appear in that column.

Your Review is Ready Notification

If Feedback on the Manager's Review setting is enabled, a new block has been added to the Your Review is Ready notification.
