Previously, the default landing page in an academy was Learner Workspace / My Training for all academy members. This update assigns a default workspace based on the user's role in the academy, and then allows each user to adjust it if they wish.
Default Workspace
The workspace on which an individual lands upon their login is determined with the following process in the order and priority listed:
Please Note, the individual will land on the top-most menu option in their respective workspace.
- Admin system/academy role — Academy Admin Workspace
- Training Manager system/academy role — Training Admin Workspace
- HR Manager system/academy role — Development Admin Workspace
- Manage Members permission — Academy Admin Workspace
- Team Workspace access per permissions — Team Workspace
- Training Admin Workspace access per permissions — Training Admin Workspace
- Development Workspace access per permissions — Development Admin Workspace
- None of these — Learner Workspace
Adjusting Your Workspace Landing Page
Individuals can adjust their personal landing page under their avatar in the top right corner.
Access Your Settings
- Select your avatar in the top-right corner.
- From the drop-down menu, select Settings.
Then Privacy and Preferences.
Customize your Preferences
- Go to Privacy and Preferences.
Under Landing Page, they can select both their default academy, if they belong to more than one, as well as their workspace. Those with Academy Admin access, can also select their default Academy Workspace section. Choices will automatically be saved.
