This release provides the opportunity for academy administrators to adjust the use of workspaces in the academy or disable them altogether. All left-side menus will stay intact and will still populate based on the permissions of the individual.
Under Academy Admin > Settings > General, there is a new option called Workspace Editor.
Each workspace can be dragged and dropped into a new position.
Opening a workspace contains the options to merge others into it, to rename it, and to even select a new icon.
After setting the workspace as you'd like, select Merge.
By merging all workspaces into one, the workspace bar on the left will no longer appear. Essentially this will eliminate workspaces.
