Competitions are a feature available within Activity Rings. Once Activity Rings are enabled for your academy, users who are permitted to compete can create and participate in Competitions.
Configuring Competitions
When creating or editing an Activity Ring, you will see a step labeled Players. Here, you can define whether:
All academy members can participate in competitions, or
Only specific users can participate, by applying rules.
To allow competitions within your academy, ensure that the Allow trainees to compete with each other toggle is enabled.
When this setting is active, eligible users will see a Compete with team button on the Activity Rings page within the Overview tab.
Creating a Competition
After clicking Compete with team, a configuration modal will appear. From here, users can:
Set the Competition length: Competitions can last up to 4 weeks.
Adjust the Competition title: The system automatically generates a title based on the selected dates, but this can be customized.
Invite players: Up to 4 other players can be invited, making a maximum of 5 participants including the creator. To invite players, click on the Find people to compete with field and search for members by name.
Once invitations are set, click Start competition.
Participation and Invitations
Invited members will receive an in-app notification and can choose whether to join.
Invitations can also be accessed through:
Social Workspace > Game Center > Activity Rings > Active competitions.
The Competition begins on the specified start date.
If a participant joins after the start date (e.g., one week into a four-week Competition), their previously earned points are still counted.
If all invited players decline the invitation, the Competition is canceled.
Tracking Progress
All participants can monitor their progress and view detailed information about their Competitions at any time.
Rewards and Badges
Upon completion, participants receive badges based on their achievements. These Competition-related badges:
Are automatically awarded
Cannot be edited
Are issued even if badges are not enabled in your academy
