Understanding Video Quality in Schoox

If you’ve uploaded a video to Schoox and noticed that it appears blurry or low-quality, even though the original file is clear, this behavior typically occurs due to how the LMS video player manages playback quality.

Why videos may appear blurry

The LMS video player automatically adjusts the video quality based on your internet connection speed. This ensures smooth playback and prevents videos from buffering.

Even though the system aims to display the highest available resolution, a slow or unstable internet connection can cause the video to start at a lower quality (for example, 240p or 480p). As your connection stabilizes, the quality will automatically increase.

Can I force videos to always play in HD (1080p)?

Currently, there isn’t a setting that forces videos to always play in 1080p. The “auto” setting is the default and dynamically adjusts video quality depending on your connection.

How to improve video quality

If you notice your video looks blurry, try the following:

  1. Manually adjust the quality: Click the gear icon ⚙️ in the video player and select 1080p (HD) if available.

  2. Check your connection: A stable and fast internet connection helps videos play in higher quality automatically.

  3. Clear your browser’s cache and cookies: This can sometimes help resolve playback issues.

By following these steps, your videos should appear sharper and play more consistently in high definition.
