This release updates the Learning Path Status by Learner Homepage gadget so that it is more interactive and informative, while allowing the admin to have more control over what is shown to the management team.
Selecting the Learning Paths to View
Specific learning paths can be displayed by selecting the Select learning paths button at the top of the gadget.
Admins will see two tabs at the top of the modal — Locked learning paths and Select learning paths.
Locked learning paths allow admins to select up to six learning paths that will appear to everyone that has access to the gadget and visibility into each learning path. These locked learning paths cannot be removed or repositioned by non-admins. This tab only appears to administrators.
Select learning paths allow managers to add their own learning paths that only they can see. There can only be a total of six learning paths in total in the gadget.
Managers can reposition them as they'd like, but they will not be able to move them above any locked learning paths.
Required Roles and Permissions
Managers need reporting permission in order to view and use the Learning Path Status By Learner gadget.
In practice, this means that the user must meet one of the following criteria:
Be an Admin
Be a Training Manager
Have a job that includes reporting permissions
Administrators can view both the Locked learning paths and Select learning paths tabs. Managers, however, can only access the Select learning paths tab, provided they have been granted the appropriate permissions.
Viewing Data
The gadget shows the progress for individuals within the selected organizational elements, based on the learning paths available to the viewer.
Progress can be tracked by the individual courses within each learning path, as well as by the learning paths themselves.
If enabled in your academy, a three-dot more menu appears next to the status of each course or learning path. Users with the appropriate Assign Training permissions can use this menu to perform actions based on the training’s status, including Assign, Unassign, and Reassign.
If you do not see the three-dot more menu options, please ask Support or Schoox representative to enable it.
