When configuring your Homepage Workspace, you can add the Learning Path Status by Learner gadget from the list of available gadgets. This widget provides managers and administrators with a centralized, easy-to-read overview of learner progress across assigned learning paths, helping them quickly monitor engagement, identify learners who may need additional support, and stay informed about overall training progress at a glance.
This gadget is restricted to manager-level users and is supported exclusively on the web application.
Selecting the Learning Paths to View
Once added to your Homepage Workspace, the gadget will appear as shown below.
The order of locked learning paths can be adjusted by dragging the icon located to the left of the learning path title.
In the Select learning paths tab, you can choose the learning paths that will be displayed immediately after the locked learning paths.
Locked learning paths are indicated by a lock icon next to their title. All other selected learning paths display a delete icon, which can be used to remove them from the tab if needed. You can reorder selected learning paths by dragging the icon located to the left of each learning path title. However, locked learning paths cannot be reordered or removed from the Select learning paths tab.
The Total Completions column indicates the number of learning paths a learner has successfully completed, relative to the total number of learning paths in which the learner is enrolled.
A Download icon is located at the bottom-right of the gadget, enabling you to download and review the data.
You will receive an in-app notification once the report is ready for your review.
By default, the gadget displays the selected learning paths along with their courses, as shown above. To display only learning paths, enable the Show only learning paths toggle at the bottom-right of the gadget.
Within the gadget, you can view training items and their corresponding statuses, including Completed, In progress, Not started, and Not enrolled. The meaning of each status icon is explained at the bottom of the gadget.
Required Roles and Permissions
Managers need reporting permission in order to view and use the Learning Path Status By Learner gadget.
In practice, this means that the user must meet one of the following criteria:
Be an Admin
Be a Training Manager
Have a job that includes reporting permissions
Administrators can view both the Locked learning paths and Select learning paths tabs. Managers, however, can only access the Select learning paths tab, provided they have been granted the appropriate permissions.
Additional Administrative Actions
If you wish to perform additional administrative actions using this gadget, contact our Support team to enable this functionality.
Once activated, users with the appropriate Assign Training permissions will see a three-dot (More) menu next to the status of each training item, enabling them to Assign, Unassign, or Reassign training.
For example, if a training item is marked as Completed, the Unassign and Reassign options will be available.
For users with a Not enrolled status, only the Assign option will be displayed.
Important notes:
If a training has been assigned to a learner by an administrator, the three-dot menu—and its associated actions—will not be available to you for that specific training, as you are not permitted to perform these actions on admin-assigned trainings.
The three-dot menu will only appear when the system determines that at least one applicable action is available for that particular training.
If you have been allocated a subscription license, you can assign, unassign, or reassign external courses to learners, as long as they also have a subscription license. The same functionality is available for coupon courses.
After selecting the desired action, a modal will appear showing the learning path title and the selected user. The modal will display the available options for the chosen action.
Note: These changes also apply to the Sidebar gadget. After applying the desired filters, click the Larger view button to expand the gadget.
