Overview
Sometimes, while managing training assignments, a course may be marked as completed for a team member unintentionally. This article walks you through what happens in that situation and explains the best way to handle it, so your training records stay accurate and reliable.
What Happens When a Course Is Marked as Complete
When an administrator manually marks a course as complete for a learner, that completion becomes part of the learner’s historical training record. At the moment, there isn’t an option in the Schoox interface to reverse or “undo” a completion once it’s been recorded.
This approach helps ensure the integrity of training data and prevents accidental loss of important historical records.
What You Can Do Next
If the course was marked complete by mistake, you still have a couple of clear and effective options:
Reassign the Course
You can reassign the course to the learner from your dashboard. This allows the learner to retake the course if needed.
The original completion will remain visible in the learner’s past completions.
The reassignment ensures the learner can complete the training correctly moving forward.
Request Removal of the Incorrect Completion
If it’s important for reporting or compliance purposes to remove the incorrect completion entirely, the best next step is to contact the Schoox Support Team.
Because past completions are part of a learner’s permanent training history, they can only be removed safely from the backend. This extra step helps protect your data and ensures that any changes are made carefully and accurately.
Best Practice
If you ever notice a completion that doesn’t reflect actual training activity, reaching out to Support is the recommended path. The team is happy to assist and make sure your records reflect exactly what you intend.
