Release date 26 March
This release reimagines the flow that learners will follow when registering for and viewing events. Currently, learners must navigate through multiple landing pages and calendar views to find specific dates (offers). This update introduces a direct-to-details approach, and take learners directly to a list of event offers on the revamped Event Details page.
Navigating to Events
In My Training or in the catalog, if an event is a part of a course, learners will see the option to go to the course when selecting the course.
If it is a standalone event, they will find the Go to offers option.
In the calendar, selecting offers will also bring up the quick-look dialogue box, allowing the learner to go to its events.
Visiting standalone Event Offers
Before this release, the learner was taken to a calendar view to register for event offers. They are now, instead, taken to a list of offers. As per the New Experience design language, the learner may filter, search and sort to find specific offers. Among the other options, learners can filter by instructor.
In the list of offers, learners will be able to view details of the offer, and register for it.
If needed, they will also be able to unregister here, as well.
The calendar option is also still available.
There they will see only that event's offers on the calendar.
Course Related Events
Events within a course will display as course items in the right sidebar. The list of offers will appear in the main window, which functions as described above.
Rules and Logic
A user should be considered as completed/attended on a Completed (past) event when the following rules are applied:
For In-Class Events
-
Standalone In-Class Events
- Users should be marked as Attended
-
Course Connected In-Class Events
- Users should be marked as Attended, and if the event is needed for course completion, the User's Score should be >= than event’s Passing Score
-
Learning Path Connected In-Class Events
- Users should be marked as Attended, and if the event is needed for learning path completion, the Users Score should be >= from events Passing Score
For Virtual Events
-
Standalone Virtual Events
- Users should have at least 1 min attendance time
-
Course Connected Virtual Events
- If the event is needed for course completion the user's attendance time / total duration should be >= than event’s Completion Percentage
-
Learning Path Connected Virtual Events
- If the event is needed for learning path completion the user's attendance time / total duration should be >= than event’s Completion Percentage
For All Listed Above
- If the event has a poll or a questionnaire needed for event completion, users will need to have also completed it.
Specifically for Bundle events, that contain 1+ offers, there is a rule in both in-class and virtual events
- Users can attend multiple offers →
at least one offer completed and that offer chronically ended, to bring the bundle in the Completed Tab - User can attend only one offer →
at least one offer completed and that offer chronically ended, to bring the bundle in the Completed Tab - Users must attend all offers →
all offers completed and the whole bundle chronically ended, to bring the bundle in the Completed Tab
Users can attend only one offer/ Users can attend multiple offers
- Only the end date considered at an offer level and not at a bundle level. The bundle will be moved under the “Completed” tab if:
- the bundle has one of these two attendance rules and
- one offer completed (attended & passing score) and
- the end date of the completed offer has past
Users must attend all offers
- Only the end date at a bundle level. The bundle will be moved under the “Completed” tab if:
- the bundle has this attendance rule and
- all bundle offers are completed (attended & passing score) and
- the end date of the bundle has past
