Activation, Cost, and Support
When and how can I get access to these features?
We're rolling out these AI features to customers in phases rather than all at once. Here's how it works:
- Your academy will be added to the rollout as part of a phased activation schedule.
- Once your group is activated, the features become visible to your admins in Academy Settings — but they won't turn on automatically for you or your learners.
- Your admins choose when to enable each feature, so you stay fully in control of the rollout for your organization.
- When your academy's turn comes up, admins will receive an email and an in-app pop-up with a link to enablement resources to help you get started.
Is there a cost associated with AI features in Schoox?
Schoox includes several AI features in the Intelligent Learning platform subscription at no additional cost, including AI Micro-course creation, AI skills mapping, and more. Learning Impact Suite (LIS) is an AI-engineered premium add-on to Schoox Intelligent Learning that enables job, skill, and KPI mapping and purpose-built impact training plans to drive workforce performance.
Do I need to do anything to prepare before using AI features?
Review Schoox's AI functionality policy, along with any internal AI policies that may govern your organization's use of AI. We'll also share enablement resources, including an invitation to a cohort training call covering best practices to help you make the most of these features.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for the skills-based features specifically?
Yes, the skills-based AI features have a few prerequisites. Most notably, Skills Management needs to be enabled in Academy Settings before you can make the most of these capabilities. If you haven't yet adopted Skills in your academy, don't worry: our group training sessions will help you get started so you're ready to take advantage of everything the new features offer.
Is there a way I can test these features before turning them on in my academy?
Yes. If you have a staging site, you can enable the features there first. Also keep in mind that by design most features are only visible to admins unless made public and available to learners. For example, building a micro-course before assigning it to learners, or piloting LINA with a small group before rolling out academy-wide.
Do you have any additional documentation about your AI functionality that I can send to the AI task force at my organization?
Yes, in addition to our AI functionality policy, we have an AI FAQ document that outlines our core AI principles, AI architecture and models, and answers to common questions. Rest assured that Schoox delivers enterprise-grade AI that puts security, transparency, and ethical practices at the forefront of workplace learning. We're committed to building responsible AI that augments human expertise instead of replacing it — your data is never used to train external models or shared across tenants, and it remains secure and private at all times.
General AI & Trust
How does the AI handle answering a question (or building a course) if two separate documents in the reference library have conflicting information?
AI cannot definitively determine which conflicting source is "right" — most likely it will pick one document as the source of truth, or attempt to balance the two if possible. Conflicting information across documents is something the customers need to resolve on their end. This applies to both micro-course creation from multiple documents and to LINA. We have an article that guides you through how best to prepare their academy with content governance in mind so that AI within Schoox retrieves accurate and up to date information.
Is the content I upload and share with AI used to help train Schoox's AI?
No. This is an enterprise-isolated solution — a RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) solution built on Bedrock, using each customer's own data. The system applies the LLM to read your content and generate what it's asked to (or respond to a question), and it does not retain or learn from that content afterward.
