You can send Training Announcements to users enrolled in both internal and external courses and learning paths.
Navigation
Training Announcements can be sent either to individuals (By Person) or determined based on their job and location (By Criteria).
If you are an Academy Admin, Training Manager or a user with the Send Announcements permission, navigate to the upper navigation panel and select Personal Messages.
Under the Announcements tab, open the Create Announcement dropdown menu and choose either a Course or a Learning path announcement.
By Person
To send announcements to select individuals, search for the recipients and select them by clicking on the “+” symbol.
Add a message in the space provided, add an image/URL, and/or click Upload Attachment to upload documents from your computer.
Select Send announcement once finished.
By Criteria
Under By Criteria you can send the announcement only to those who match the selected org structure criteria. Simply use the drop-down menus and select the desired job(s), Above Units(s), and Unit(s). The number of individuals that match the criteria will display below.
Similar to individual announcements, you can add a message and upload documents from your computer.
You also have the option to send the announcement only to users who have a specific preferred language selected.
Click on the Send Announcement button once finished.
Automated Announcements
You are also able to set it up so the announcement will automatically be sent to anyone who falls within specific parameters.
To create an automated assignment rule, check the box while creating an Advanced Announcement, and give the rule a descriptive name.
At the bottom of the page, select Send announcement and set rule.
Note: The sender of announcement is not included in the recipients of the announcement, as this user actually knows the content of this message.
You can also send training announcements directly from the Course and Learning Path administration panels.
Course Announcements
When in the Academy Workspace, select Training Admin. Then, choose Manage Training and select Courses.
Select the course for which you’d like to send an announcement.
In the Course Panel on the right, click Enrolled Learners, and then select Training Announcements.
Learning Path Announcements
When in the Academy Workspace, select Training Admin for all Training Administration options.
Select Manage Training and then select Learning Paths.
Select the Learning Path for which you want to send an announcement.
In the Learning Path Panel on the right, click Enrolled Learners, and then choose Training Announcements.
