Resetting an employee’s training progress may be necessary in cases where they need to retake a course, start fresh due to updates in training content, or if progress was recorded in error. There are a couple of ways to manage this process, depending on whether the training is archived or still active. The options below will guide you through resetting progress either by unassigning the training or by using the “Oblige to Retake” functionality.
Option 1: Unarchive and Unassign Completed Trainings
If the completed trainings have been archived, you will need to:
Unarchive the Trainings
Locate the archived trainings and unarchive them.Unassign the Trainings
Once unarchived, unassign the trainings from the employee.(Optional) Re-archive the Trainings
If necessary, you can archive the trainings again after they’ve been unassigned.
Option 2: Use the Reassignment Functionality
For trainings that are still active (not archived), you can use the “Reassign Training” feature to reset progress:
This functionality resets the employee’s progress to 0%, allowing them to retake the training from the beginning.
Completion history is typically retained in reports to reflect that the training has been retaken.
Note: This is the recommended method if you want the employee to complete the training again while keeping a record of the previous completion.
