Have you ever been running a compliance or important learning training and needed to send a one-time reminder email just to the users who haven't quite finished their training? This use case helps you utilize the platform's robust communication tools to target those specific learners!
Scenario
You are managing an ongoing learning training, and as the deadline approaches, you want to send a single, urgent email reminder to all enrolled learners who have not yet completed the required course.
While Schoox offers comprehensive automated reminders, you are looking for a method to send an immediate, manual, one-off message to this specific audience segment.
Your Solution: Using Training Announcements
The most effective way to send a focused, manual reminder to learners who have not yet completed their training is by leveraging the Training Announcements feature. Announcements offer a powerful option that allows you to target users based on their completion status, essentially providing the manual “one-off” email capability you need.
Step-by-Step Guidance
-
Locate the Course: Navigate to the specific course in your Training Admin area (Academy Workspace > Training Admin > Courses).
-
Access Announcements: From the Course panel, select Enrolled Learners and then Training Announcements.
Use the By criteria tab to select your audience.
-
Create Your Message: Compose the message, emphasizing the urgency or importance of the upcoming deadline.
-
Crucial Targeting Step: When selecting the audience for your announcement, use the All Enrolled Learners dropdown field and choose the option:
"Only enrolled learners that have NOT completed"
Send the Announcement: Once selected, sending the announcement by clicking the Send Announcement Now button will ensure that the message is delivered only to the individuals who still need to complete the course.
By using Training Announcements for manual, one-time reminders and the Automated Reminders feature for continuous scheduling, you can effectively manage communication for all your critical learning training.
