This update provides the means to add and adjust Homepage Workspace gadgets in the New Experience Mobile App. It also adds the ability to add and adjust the HTML gadget, specifically, whether or not your academy uses the Homepage Workspace or not.
Homepage Workspace
In the Homepage Editor (Academy Workspace > Academy Admin > Configuration > General), there is a new option that will soon be available— Make mobile app home screen available.
The toggle will become available when the mobile app is updated with this functionality. Mobile gadgets will not appear until the mobile app has been updated.
The mobile homepage is not yet available. It will be available in a future new mobile app update.
Gadgets within the Homepage Editor will now be able to be shown on the mobile app homepage screen using its toggle.
Those not available in the app will be marked as such.
HTML Gadget
The HTML Gadget, if active in your academy, can now be shown in the mobile app, whether you have the Homepage Workspace enabled in your academy or not. Configuring either choice is accomplished in the Homepage Editor.
If the Homepage Workspace is enabled, there will be choice to show different content in each version.
If the Homepage Workspace is not enabled, only the Mobile tab will be available. The web (desktop) version can be configured as it was previously.
If you want to display different content for the Web and the mobile app, ensure that the “Show different content for web and mobile app” checkbox is selected. Otherwise, any content saved under the Mobile tab will not be displayed in the mobile application.
