As an Academy Admin, you can control whether users are able to post GIFs in the Academy Feed and in the Group Feed. These are two independent settings, so you can enable or disable GIF posting in each area separately.
Navigation
In the left navigation, make sure you are in the Academy Workspace.
When in the Academy Workspace, select Settings.
From there, filter by Social Type.
Controlling GIFs in the Academy Feed
Open the settings for the Feed.
Find the Allow GIF option in feed posts setting and turn it on or off:
• On: Users can include GIFs when creating posts in the Academy Feed.
• Off: The GIF option is not available in the Academy Feed post composer. Users will not see the option to add GIF when creating a new post.
Controlling GIFs in the Group Feed
Open the settings for the Groups.
Find the Allow GIF option in group feed posts and threads setting and turn it on or off:
• On: Users can include GIFs when posting in Group Feeds and Threads.
• Off: The GIF option is not available in Group Feed or Thread posts. This setting applies consistently across all groups in the academy.
