Release date 16 September
The Learning Path Status per Learner Gadget provides managers and administrators with a centralized, easy-to-read overview of learner progress across assigned learning paths, helping them quickly monitor engagement, identify learners who may need additional support, and stay informed about overall training progress at a glance.
This release enhances the gadget with several quality-of-life improvements, including the following:
- Added grid lines
- Center alignment is preferred
- More configuration settings available
- Default title orientation
Admins can now fine-tune how the Learning Path Status by Learner gadget displays information on the Homepage. Within the Homepage Editor (Academy Workspace > Academy Admin > Configuration > General > Homepage editor), three new configuration options let you control the Total Completions column, the default title orientation, and whether users view only learning paths.
Show or Hide the Total Completions Column
The Show total completions setting controls whether the Total Completions column appears in the gadget. It's enabled by default, so no action is needed to keep the current behavior.
Set a Default Title Orientation
The Display course titles vertically by default setting sets whether course titles in the gadget's header display vertically or horizontally by default. Titles are horizontally aligned by default, and anyone viewing the gadget can still double-click a title to switch its orientation at any time.
Control Whether Learners Can View Only Learning Paths
The Allow option to show only learning paths setting controls whether the Show only learning paths toggle is visible in the gadget at the bottom of the gadget. It's enabled by default.
These settings apply the same way to Learning Path Status by Learner gadgets already placed on existing Homepages, as well as to newly added ones.
General Readability Enhancements
The Learning Path Status By Learner gadget also has a clearer, easier-to-scan layout. Learning Path and Course headers, and the columns between them, are now easier to tell apart at a glance.
Clearer Header Separation
The Learning Path and Course header rows are now visually separated with a shaded line or divider, making it easier to see at a glance which columns belong to which section of the gadget.
Adjusted Column Spacing
Spacing between the gadget's columns has been reviewed and adjusted to make more efficient use of the available space, so more of your team's learning path and course data fits comfortably in view.
Two-Line Course Titles
When a course title doesn't fit on a single line in the gadget's column header, it now wraps onto a second line instead of being cut off, with the column widening slightly if needed.
