Navigating Your Calendar

Within the Learner Workspace, your Calendar helps you stay on top of important learning activities and deadlines. You can view upcoming due dates, training expiration dates, events you are enrolled in, and events that are available for you to enroll in.

In the left navigation, make sure you are in the Learner Workspace.

When in the Learner Workspace, select Training and then Calendar

In the above screenshot, you can see some examples of the different types of items that may appear on your Calendar.

You also have a few options on the top of the calendar:

Filter: If your calendar looks a bit busy, or you are looking for a specific kind of calendar event, an event in a specific language, an event under a specific category, or more, you can select the Filter button to filter on those.

Available filters include Type, Deadlines, Preferences, Event Connection, Event Registration Status, Attendee Status, Location, Venue, Categories, Language, Objectives, Skills, Grouped Skills and Event Instructor.

Search: This allows you to search for a specific calendar event.

Settings: This allows you to set up the day your week begins with, and allows you to export your calendar as an .ics. For more information on syncing the calendar, see: Syncing Your Schoox Calendar with Your External Calendars (Google, Apple, Outlook, etc)

View: The default calendar view is per month. Here you can change it to day, week, month, or your own schedule.

Depending on the type of the event, you can see below how and when the events will be displayed on the users' Calendar: 

  • Virtual Events

Standalone Events should be displayed in the user's calendar, unless there is a visibility restriction in the event category, depending on whether the event is placed in a category that is accessible to all or to the group of users they are interested in.

Course Events should be displayed in the user's calendar when the user is enrolled or assigned to the course.

  • In-Class Events

Standalone Events should be displayed in the user's calendar, unless there is a visibility restriction in the event category, depending on whether the event is placed in a category that is accessible to all or to the group of users they are interested in.

Course Events should be displayed in the user's calendar when the user is enrolled or assigned to the course.

  • Academy Events

All upcoming Academy Events are displayed on Academy's Calendar. Users cannot see past events on their calendar.


Notes:

  • Due dates are displayed only for the month that is actively selected in the calendar. If the current calendar view includes dates from the previous or next month (e.g., the first few days of the upcoming month appearing in the current month's grid), due dates for those dates will not be shown until the user navigates to that specific month.
  • To ensure all applicable due dates are visible, users should select the relevant month directly from the calendar navigation.
  • Course due dates are not displayed in the learner's calendar once the learner has completed the course. 
  • Any filters selected on the Calendar page are preserved when you navigate away from the page and return later, allowing you to continue working with your preferred view.
