Differentiate Weight of Personal Goals

Release Date 15 October

This update is a continuation of the efforts being made to improve the functionality surrounding goals. This release adds the ability to add differing weights to personal goals. This can be done by both the individual and manager.

Creating Weighted Personal Pillars

To enable this functionality in your academy, navigate to the Academy Workspace > Development Admin > Goals > Edit Pillars and Areas.

There when adding or editing pillars, they can be specifically set for All goals or Personal goals only. This functionality focuses on the latter.

To weight the pillar, toggle Mark this pillar as weighted to the right, and save.

Creating Personal Weighted Goals

Learners can create their own goals if it has been enabled in the academy and if they are attached to an academy job.

In the Learner Workspace, they will find it under Development > Goals.

After selecting the Add Goal button, the process has not changed with this release. However, if they select a pillar that has been set as weighted, they will see a Goal weight field.

The total goal weight must equal 100%, so if only one goal is present, it will equal 100%.

When subsequent goals are added to the same pillar, a modal will appear requesting the percentages be adjusted.

Tracking Personal Goals as a Manager

In the Team Workspace, under Goals > Team Member Goals, managers will be able to view their team members' personal goals.

Then track how they are progressing.

If the individual is on their team, they will also be able to edit the individual's personal goals, as well as archive and delete the goal, if needed.
