Homepage Workspace — Events Overview Gadget

This release introduces a Homepage Workspace Events carousel gadget that displays a personalized list of events available to the learner. Users will be able to switch between Registered, Not Registered, and All events.

Each event card will show key details (thumbnail, title, dates, event type, registration status) and allow quick actions such as Quick View and Add to Favorites. The gadget will also provide a clear redirect to the Calendar page to view all events, similarly to the Upcoming Events gadget. 

Enabling the Events Overview Gadget

To enable the Event Overview gadget, navigate to the Homepage editor (Academy Admin > Configuration > General > Homepage editor).

The new Events overview gadget will be available in the list of gadgets that can be added to any configuration.

Add it and save.

Event Overview Gadget

While the existing Upcoming Events gadget shows only the events for which the user is registered, the Event Overview gadget gives the choice of what events to display — all upcoming events, registered events, or available events. The default view is All upcoming events; the default can not be adjusted.

Selecting an event takes the user to the event's details page.

Selecting Calendar will take the user into the calendar in the Learner Workspace.

Up to sixteen events can be shown in the gadget at any one time, starting from the most recent. The user can move between them using the arrows.
