Leaderboards Gadget

To enhance learner motivation and foster competition within your academy, you can enable the Leaderboards homepage gadget. This feature provides learners with quick access to up to five active leaderboards they are participating in, ranked by the points they have earned—from highest to lowest—helping them track their progress and stay engaged.

To configure and make this gadget available, follow the steps below.
 

Enabling the Leaderboards Gadget

In the left navigation, make sure you are in the Academy Workspace.

When in the Academy Workspace, select Academy Admin for all Academy Administration options. 

Select Configuration and then General.

On the General page, navigate to the Homepage Editor tab.

Select your preferred configuration to enable the Leaderboards gadget. You can either use the default configurations or define a custom configuration based on your needs.

Then, open the Choose Gadget dropdown menu and select Leaderboards.

Click Add to save your selection and include the gadget in your configuration.

Please note that this gadget is available exclusively on the web application.

Once the gadget is saved, it will appear in users’ Homepage Workspace.
 

Leaderboards Gadget

The Leaderboards gadget displays up to five active leaderboards in which the user is participating, giving them a quick overview of their current standings.

You can navigate between them within the gadget using the arrows in the upper-right corner or the bullets at the bottom, as the leaderboards are displayed in a carousel view.

In each leaderboard displayed within the gadget, you can see up to three users—yourself and two additional participants (the one ranked just above and the one just below you)—along with your rank among them and the points you have earned.

The logged-in user is highlighted, making it easy to identify their position within the leaderboard.

You can also see the number of points required to reach the next rank.

Selecting the View leaderboard option in the gadget redirects learners to the leaderboard page, where they can view their current rank, earned points, and other users participating in the leaderboard.
