To enhance learner motivation and encourage ongoing participation, you can enable the Games homepage gadget. This feature provides learners with quick access to up to five active, non-completed games they are participating in, sorted by the points they have earned—from highest to lowest—helping them track their progress and stay engaged.
Enabling the Games Gadget
In the left navigation, make sure you are in the Academy Workspace.
When in the Academy Workspace, select Academy Admin for all Academy Administration options.
Select Configuration and then General.
On the General page, navigate to the Homepage Editor tab.
Select your preferred configuration to enable the Games gadget. You can either use the default configurations or define a custom configuration based on your needs.
Then, open the Choose Gadget dropdown menu and select Games.
Click Add to save your selection and include the gadget in your configuration.
Please note that this gadget is available exclusively on the web application.
Games Gadget
The Games gadget displays a carousel view with quick access to up to five active, non-completed games that the learners are participating in.
Each card displays the game’s title, the number of points the learner has earned, a progress bar indicating their progress, their current level, and the points required to reach the next level.
You can navigate between the games within the gadget using the arrows in the upper-right corner or the bullets at the bottom.
