With this release, the Homepage Workspace editor gives academy admins more control over how gadgets look and behave, and gives learners a little more control of their own. This release affects only the Unified Homepage (or Homepage Workspace).
Choose a Default Sort Order for Homepage Gadgets
Admins can now set a default sorting option for several gadgets on the Homepage Workspace — including courses in progress, learning paths in progress, featured courses, featured learning paths, overdue, my compliance training, upcoming due dates, events overview, and upcoming events — right from the Homepage editor.
Full or Half-Size Gadgets
Every available gadget — except Learning Path Status by Learner — can now be displayed at half width, so two gadgets can sit side by side instead of each taking up a full row. Switch a gadget’s size using the new arrow button in the Homepage editor.
More Control for Learners
Learners can adjust the sorting on supported gadgets to suit how they work, and their choice is remembered. A new Reset gadget order option lets them return to the layout you defined at any time. This will appear after a page refresh or the next time they visit the page.
