Cancellation Notification Added for Self-Unregistration from Events

Release date 4 November

Participants can now get a confirmation when they cancel their own registration for an in-class or virtual event. Until now, participants were notified when an Admin or a manager unregistered them or when an event was cancelled, but not when they cancelled themselves, which left them without a record. The new notification gives participants, and the Admins and instructors who follow up on attendance, a clear record of every cancellation.

A Confirmation for Every Self-Cancellation

A record you can point to. When a participant unregisters themselves from the calendar, from the event details, or from the mobile app, they receive a You unregistered yourself from an event notification. It can be sent by email and as an in-app notification, which is also delivered as a mobile push notification.

Turned Off by Default

You decide when to use it. The notification is turned off by default for every academy. Turn on its email notification, its in-app notification, or both, whenever you want participants to receive it. It applies to unregistrations made after you turn it on and doesn't notify participants about earlier cancellations.

Clearly Different From Admin-Initiated Unregistrations

Two notifications, two situations. The existing You've been unregistered from an event notification continues to be sent when an Admin or a manager unregisters a participant. The new notification is sent only when participants cancel their own registration. The email can be edited and comes in a version for virtual events and a version for in-class events.
