The Suggested Groups gadget displays a curated stream of groups tailored to each learner.

To ensure relevance and accessibility, only groups that meet the following criteria are included:

  • The group is public
  • The group belongs to a category the logged-in user has Read permission for
  • The group was not created by the logged-in user
  • The logged-in user is not already a member of the group

The results are presented in a carousel format, displaying up to three pages, with three groups per page. Groups are automatically sorted by creation date, from newest to oldest, helping learners discover the most recent and relevant communities available to them.

Suggested Group Cards

Each suggested group is displayed as an individual card, providing key information at a glance. This includes the group’s title, the number of members, and the number of threads within the group.

Selecting a group card redirects learners to the group’s Details page, where they can explore more information and choose to join the group.
